This disinfection / sanitisation tunnel it positioned at the end of a tray washing machine, and sprays the trays etc with a disifection or sanitiser directly onto the trays.
The Elpress Disinfection Tunnel EDT1000 is an industry-leading, automated hygiene solution designed to eliminate cross-contamination risks in high-care manufacturing environments.
Engineered specifically for the food processing, pharmaceutical, and logistics sectors, this heavy-duty system ensures thorough, four-sided disinfection of crates, containers, and tools before they enter sensitive production zones.
With its robust stainless steel construction and precision chemical dosing, the EDT1000 delivers reliable, high-throughput sanitization while minimizing water and chemical consumption.
Key Features & Benefits:
360-Degree Disinfection: Strategically positioned spray nozzles ensure complete, four-sided coverage, leaving no blind spots on passing objects.
Automated Sensor Activation: Integrated sensors detect incoming items, activating the spray cycle only when necessary to drastically reduce utility waste.
HACCP Compliant Design: Built with smooth, sloping stainless steel surfaces (AISI 304) to prevent dirt accumulation and simplify daily cleaning.
Precision Chemical Dosing: Features a highly accurate, adjustable dosing pump to maintain optimal chemical concentration for strict audit compliance.
Plug-and-Play Integration: Compact footprint allows it to easily slot into existing production lines, conveyor systems, or manual wash areas.
The entire system is constructed from solid plates and profiles (304 stainless steel) and is mounted on adjustable legs. The crates are fed into the washing zone with the open side facing downwards. The spray arches are fitted with many nozzles. The crates are rinsed with clean water in the rinse zone. This spray arch is supplied directly from the mains water supply.
Disinfection zone
The entire system is constructed from solid plates and profiles (SUS 304) and is mounted on adjustable legs. The products are placed on the mesh belt at the infeed side, after which they are transported through the tunnel and can be collected, disinfected, by an employee at the outfeed side. Via a Dosatron system, the products are sprayed with disinfectant; any chemical that does not come into contact with the product will settle into the underlying collection tank. This tank is directly connected to a drain and is treated as waste rinse water. The tunnel is designed to ensure that the employee cannot come into direct contact with the mesh belt.
